About the Role

Before this is a content role or a growth role — this is a calling.

We are hiring a full-time Media & Growth Manager who genuinely dreams of working in a dynamic ministry environment and is deeply motivated by helping people encounter God and grow in faith, and who brings hands-on experience with YouTube and social media growth.

​

This role is designed for someone who has hands-on experience with YouTube and social media growth and wants to apply that experience in a mission-driven context. You will work closely with the host to develop and execute data-informed growth strategies that position our content to reach and engage as many people as possible.

​

This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, and execution-driven — someone who plans ahead, takes initiative without being asked, and takes pride in finishing projects early rather than at the last minute.

Key Responsibilities

YouTube, Social & Audience Growth

  • Develop and execute growth strategies across YouTube, social media, and other distribution platforms, grounded in analytics, platform best practices, and audience insights

  • Analyze performance metrics such as views, watch time, retention, click-through rate, engagement, follower growth, and revenue across platforms

  • Study successful channels, creators, and ministries to benchmark performance and identify patterns that can be thoughtfully applied

  • Collaborate on titles, thumbnails, descriptions, posting cadence, and distribution strategy to improve discoverability and engagement

  • Regularly review results and make disciplined, data-informed adjustments to improve reach, engagement, and overall audience growth

Short-Form Content Strategy

  • Lead the strategic repurposing of long-form content into Shorts, Reels, and clips

  • Apply proven short-form formats and trends intentionally, not randomly

  • Monitor short-form performance and refine approach to maximize discovery and engagement

Livestream Strategy & Support

  • Help plan, organize, and execute livestreams as part of the broader growth strategy

  • Assist with scheduling, promotion, preparation, and post-stream follow-up

  • Analyze livestream performance to improve engagement, retention, and reach

Guest Coordination & Communication

  • Recruit and communicate with potential guests

  • Manage guest scheduling, logistics, and preparation

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for guest communication

  • Help ensure a professional, organized, and welcoming experience for guests

Production & Content Execution

  • Support interview days with production coordination and organization

  • Capture behind-the-scenes photos and b-roll for content use

  • Help ensure content is published consistently and on schedule

Growth Opportunities & Brand Expansion (As Capacity Allows)

As the channel and team continue to grow, this role will also have the opportunity to help identify, develop, and support additional growth initiatives, such as:

  • Strategic partnerships and collaborations

  • Guest appearances and PR opportunities

  • Brand extensions (merchandise, events, written content, or other initiatives)

  • New content formats, channels, or platform presences

These initiatives will be pursued thoughtfully and strategically, based on capacity, timing, and alignment with the mission.

  • Comfortable being both behind the scenes and on set

Faith Alignment

This is a ministry role — applicants should actively follow Christ and be passionate about helping others encounter Him and further His Kingdom.

Requirements

  • Must live in or near Tuscaloosa and be available for regular in-person collaboration, production days, and meetings.

  • Comfortable with flexible hours around production days

  • Experience in media, content creation, marketing, or brand growth preferred

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the growth of a YouTube channel or social media presence (personal, professional, or ministry-related).

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Strong Plus)

Experience in any of the following is helpful and highly valued, though not required:

  • YouTube channel management (SEO, CTR optimization, analytics, retention)

  • Photography and/or videography (interview days, BTS, promotional content)

  • Short-form video editing for Reels, Shorts, TikTok

  • Website and SEO experience (Wix or similar platforms)

  • Event planning or live production experience

  • Merchandise development or brand product management

  • Email marketing or community communication (newsletters, updates, donor communication)

  • Graphic design (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)

  • Podcast production workflows

  • PR, outreach, or collaboration management

  • Experience working in a ministry, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization

  • Strong systems mindset (task management tools, content calendars, workflows)

 

Candidates do not need to check every box — we’re looking for the right heart, strong organization, and a willingness to grow.

Compensation

  • $45,000–$55,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)

  • Performance-based bonuses tied to growth and execution goals

  • Long-term leadership and advancement opportunities as the ministry scales
